I've always loved space. Just going out on a dark night, completely clear, seeing all the stars. It is so fascinating. Especially on a cool winter's night with fresh snow. Everything is so much brighter from the snow. The air is cool, and the stars just look clearer from it. On those nights, there was nothing else that mattered. It was just me and the stars. I would look through my telescope and peer deeper into the soul of the universe. I wonder if the universe ever looked back, peering into my soul. I wonder what it saw. Did it see beauty like I saw? Did it see emptyness, like I saw? Did it see things even it couldn't comprehend, like I saw? Hidden mysteries, complex things that are hard to understand, are we like the universe, or is the universe like us? I just stand there with my telescope though, admiring the universe for what it is.
