Hardback paperback some used some free
In all their withered glory of where they used to be
In all their withered glory of where they used to be
Once in the time that they became dusty and torn
Find any indication of who caused their worn
Study plans cutout letters photos of unknown family member
Brown paper rectangles nuisance a pharmacy phone number
Underlines highlights additions to a visitation
Did they leave these vessels with no hesitation
When they received these gifts were they missed equally
Anyone remembering then in likeness or mine subsequently
Will mine be seen or even come out from beneath
The ornament I ordain will be my only wreath
I cannot be the one to recall their now thoughtless mind,
But I know the withering marks that they left behind.
